Pay plans are the payout structures/scenarios you have with your agents, internal staff or anyone you would like to pay commission to. A pay plan is the first step to start commissioning an agent, a pay plan defines the sales rate % that you pay to the agent. The goal with a pay plan is to place an agent on a pay plan that they get paid MOST of the time, realizing there are always exceptions which can be setup by using account groups, Addendum's or modifying the schedule on Agency level.
Pay plans are very flexible and should always be used to calculate commissions in RPM. You can add as many pay plans as you want and name them what you want.
Top menu >> Commissions >> Schedules >> +Add a pay plan
Enter the name of your Pay plan, click OK when done.
The new Pay Plan will be to the right of the page, last step is to adjust the payout for the plan. If you pay the same rate for that plan across the board for all suppliers you can click on the Pay plans' name.
Choose the Change all rates option.
On this page you have 3 options:
- 'Supplier' only: this will adjust the rate for just the supplier you are currently working on
- All Suppliers: this will adjust the rate across all suppliers setup in your database
- All suppliers and future groups and tiers: this will adjust the rate across all suppliers setup in your database and any new commission group or tier added in the future (preferred).
