A commission item is the basic piece of commission data that is used to calculate commissions in a commission run. During the commission data import a commission item is created for every row in the supplier commission data files.
The amount of detail that an item represents depends on the supplier data. Some suppliers break out every call detail to a separate row, some us a row for each sale, and some may even group sales to one rep and account into one row.
Each commission item has a reference to one product, rep ID, rep, agency, account, customer, and supplier. It will likely have a net billed and gross commission amount. It may also have a wholesale amount. Each commission item may also contain a value for each custom item variable. During calculation RPM will record the agent commission and referral commission in each item.
