SQL stands for Structured Query Language. An SQL database is a relational database of structured data tables. The SQL database is the tried and true choice for organizations and software companies to store, organize, and use data. In fact, RPM utilizes SQL database.
Although interaction with databases is usually done through an intermediary, such as an API, sometimes direct interaction is needed. RPM has developed a standardized program that allows for direct interaction with an SQL database to get information and structure it in RPM.
In order to implement this integration, RPM needs access to the database and the internal network in order to run a system scheduler to check for new or updated information.
If you are using other software applications that have an SQL database and would benefit from integrating data with RPM, this enhancement will work for you.
