For Quantity, Decimal, Money, and Formula fields a user can define minimum and maximum values.
The setup user has several options:
- define a minimum value
- define a maximum value
- define a minimum and maximum value range
Depending on the Min and Max configuration, users will be forced to enter values according to the rules setup.
For example, if a setup user configures a Quantity field to have a Min of "5" users must enter a value of "5" or higher or they will be presented a prompt that details the prescribed, acceptable field value.
For Quantity, Decimal, or Money fields, if a user does not enter a value for one of these fields where a Min or Max value or range is enforced, no field value will be recorded.
