Using a formula field, you can calculate a certain date using the duration field in combination with a date field. As an example, you can calculate the term length as a duration field in combination with the contract start date to calculate the expiration date.
Top menu >> Setup
In the template of the process, navigate to the Fields tab. Drag and drop the Duration field into place.
Name the field and select the Eligible units for the field.
Add the Date field.
Name the field and then click Finish.
Next, add a Formula field.
Name the field and then add the Duration and Date field into the fx section. Select Date as the format.
The Date format type will convert the formula you've created into a date. Note: Months are calculated based on the number of seconds in a 30 day period.
